Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Takashi Katsumoto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Richard Price!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Katsumoto shoots in and gets a takedown into Price's guard.
Katsumoto trying to control but Price is working from the bottom.
Price manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Katsumoto manages to get himself to full guard.
Price throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Katsumoto works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Katsumoto pushes Price off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Price tries to keep at a distance but Katsumoto has taken the fight into the clinch.

Katsumoto works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Katsumoto working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Price's head.
Katsumoto wants to control from the top but Price keeps moving.
Katsumoto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Katsumoto is working Price over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Katsumoto sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Price's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Katsumoto looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Price can't hide his disappointment, as Katsumoto celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takashi Katsumoto!
