Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MixMaster Me (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Me is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Digital Animal. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aoki drops down looking for an ankle pick but Me pulls his leg out and moves away.
Me ducks under a wild hook from Aoki.
Aoki clobbers Me with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Me takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Me tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Shinya Aoki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Shinya Aoki.
Well Me has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
