Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryo Narushima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Narushima comes to the cage accompanied by Deepforces - Heartbeat. Fernandez has chosen The Eagles - Hotel Calafornia as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ryo Narushima had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryo Narushima!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Miguel Fernandez!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez ducks right into an uppercut from Narushima.

Fernandez pushes Narushima up against the cage in a clinch.

Narushima breaks the clinch.
Narushima fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Narushima takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


It looks like Ryo Narushima has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fernandez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Narushima swivels and escapes.
Narushima fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Fernandez checks it well.
Fernandez avoids a kick to the body.
Ryo Narushima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fernandez avoids the head kick by Narushima.
Fernandez moves out of range of the body kick.
Fernandez catches Narushima with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Fernandez scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Narushima is trying to maintain the position but Fernandez is very close to passing his half guard.

Fernandez fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Narushima on the side of the head.
Fernandez throws a shot from downtown. Narushima moves away and avoids it.
Narushima walks into a straight right hand from Fernandez.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Narushima looks to score with a jab to the body but Fernandez is just out of range.
Fernandez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Fernandez steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Narushima. That one must have hurt.
Narushima misses with a kick to the body.
Fernandez checks a leg kick.
Narushima turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Narushima throws a good cross that connects.
Fernandez slips a jab from Narushima.
Narushima throws a body kick that misses.
Narushima is looking to score with low kicks.
Narushima connects with a leg kick. Fernandez looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Nice defenses there by Fernandez.

Nice body punch from Narushima.
A bone on bone clash there as Fernandez blocks the leg kick.
Narushima thuds his right hand into Fernandez's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Narushima's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Fernandez connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Narushima scrambles back to his feet.

and Fernandez counters with a single leg into guard. Narushima didn't expect that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fernandez is fighting to break Narushima's control of his arms but Narushima is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Fernandez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ryo Narushima just wasn't active enough.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fernandez fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Fernandez fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Narushima.
Fernandez tests Narushima's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Fernandez dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Fernandez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Narushima moves away.
Fernandez throws a body punch but Narushima moves out of range.

Ryo Narushima is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Narushima throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
That kick from Narushima tenderised Fernandez's leg. Fernandez is trying to keep his angry face on.
Narushima throws out a leg kick but Fernandez moves out of range and Narushima only half commits.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Miguel Fernandez will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Ryo Narushima's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Narushima tries a low kick but Fernandez avoids it.
Fernandez lands a slapping body shot.
Narushima takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A nice leg kick lands there from Fernandez.
Narushima tries to move into range but Fernandez moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Fernandez avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Narushima. Fernandez shrugs it off though.
Narushima throws a sloppy head kick and Fernandez moves out of range easily.
Fernandez scores with a jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fernandez lands an overhand right.
Fernandez lunges at Narushima with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Narushima's hand.


Narushima is rocked!
Narushima throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Oh Narushima is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Narushima bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Fernandez's head.
Fernandez blocks a leg kick.
Narushima seems to have got his legs back now.
Fernandez tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Narushima throws a wild body kick that Fernandez sees coming a mile off.
Narushima scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


Fernandez is rocked!
Miguel Fernandez seems to be getting the better of the standup.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Narushima throws a hook to the side of Fernandez's head but Fernandez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Fernandez is still on wobbly legs! Can Narushima finish him?
Fernandez moves out of range of the strikes.
Narushima misses with an uppercut. Fernandez saw that one coming.
Narushima feints a jab and as Fernandez dips his head, Narushima unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Fernandez right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Fernandez falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Narushima smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ryo Narushima!
A victorious Ryo Narushima thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
In defeat, Miguel Fernandez stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'd like to apologise to my manager Dirk Copeland for putting in another terrible performance, please don't cut me boss.'.
