Redfield comes to the cage accompanied by Resident Evil Movie Theme. Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Chris Redfield could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Sorbinian Potasu's chin.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potasu throws a right and a left that both miss.
We've been informed that Potasu has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Redfield misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Redfield throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Potasu lands with a right hand.


It looks like Chris Redfield has been cut.
Redfield throws a head kick but Potasu moves out of range.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Redfield.
Redfield swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Potasu listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Potasu throws a nice looking combination but Redfield bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Potasu throws a body punch but Redfield moves out of range.
Chris Redfield seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Redfield looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Potasu crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Redfield - the referee stops the clock and Potasu gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Redfield. Potasu manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Redfield ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Potasu moves away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Redfield lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Potasu circles away quickly and effectively.
Potasu goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Redfield throws a head kick but Potasu moves out of range.
Potasu avoids the head kick by Redfield.
Redfield misses with an attempted mid kick.
Redfield takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Potasu misses with a wild body shot.
Redfield is looking to slow Potasu down with leg kicks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Potasu takes a swing at Redfield's ribcage but misses.
Potasu lunges at Redfield with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Redfield's hand.
Potasu moves out of range of the body kick.
Redfield looks to throw the jab but Potasu is out of range.
Redfield throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Redfield misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Potasu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Redfield misses with a straight left.
Potasu swings for the body but Redfield moves out of range.
Redfield pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Redfield jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Potasu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Redfield moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Redfield slips under a jab.
Redfield's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Potasu connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Redfield scrambles back to his feet.

Redfield drops Potasu with a left and a right! Oh, Potasu is hurt - Redfield dives into side control looking to finish!


It looks like Sorbinian Potasu has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Potasu is looking to reverse the position.
Potasu is not content to let Redfield control the position.

Redfield thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Redfield wants to control but Potasu is keeping him busy.
Redfield prevents Potasu from escaping the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Potasu is trying to get back to half guard.
Redfield trying to control the action but Potasu is working from the bottom.
Potasu tries to improve position but can't.

Redfield is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Potasu knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Potasu is not content to let Redfield control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chris Redfield will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Redfield throws a jab when Potasu was well out of range.
Redfield is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Potasu's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Redfield takes a swing at Potasu's ribcage but misses.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Redfield here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Potasu drops his hands momentarily and Redfield takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Redfield throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Redfield swings widly with a right hand

Redfield scoring well with a low kick there.
Potasu lands a jab to the nose.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Redfield staying out of range there.
Redfield throws a low kick, looking for Potasu's leg but Potasu calmly moves out of range.
Redfield takes one to the chin there.


Chris Redfield's cut is getting worse.
Potasu throws an overhand right that lands on Redfield's shoulder, as Redfield tries to avoid the shot.
Look low, kick high! Redfield uses the oldest trick in the book to send Potasu tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Redfield is absolutely delighted - when Potasu wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Chris Redfield!
