Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Orellana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiger Fai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orellana comes to the cage accompanied by Big Shit Poppin' . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frank Orellana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tiger Fai!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orellana scores with a leg kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Orellana.
Fai throws a leg kick which misses Orellana's front leg but catches the back leg as Orellana tries to avoid it.
Orellana fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fai manages to avoid it.
Orellana tries to clinch up.
Fai wants to clinch

and Orellana counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fai's guard now.
Fai keeping moving, preventing Orellana from controlling successfully.

Orellana decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Fai, up you get!
Fai looks to clinch
enabling Orellana to counter with a crisp jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fai clinches but Orellana breaks the clinch

and Orellana counters by moving into the clinch.
Orellana is trying to break free.
Orellana is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Orellana tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fai just stands there and leans against the cage.
Orellana goes for a takedown attempt but Fai pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Orellana throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fai's waist but Fai gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Orellana off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Orellana. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Orellana wants to clinch.
Tiger Fai is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Fai rushes Orellana and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Fai landing knees to the body.
Fai misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Orellana.
Orellana fails to pull guard.
Fai throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Orellana blocks it with crossed arms.
Fai tries to land knees in the clinch but Orellana avoids the damage to the body.

Orellana breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fai looks to clinch

and Orellana counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Fai is pressing down on Orellana's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Orellana is breathing heavily.
Orellana postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Orellana stands up from guard. Let's bang!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fai closes the distance looking to clinch

and Orellana counters with a single leg into guard. Fai didn't expect that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fai keeping moving, preventing Orellana from controlling successfully.

Orellana drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Orellana jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Orellana is looking to stand up but Fai won't let him.
Orellana postures up in Fai's guard and throws a big left but Fai blocks it.
Fai manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Orellana working to try and regain half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Orellana is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Orellana is trying desperately to improve position.
Orellana is working hard here to advance position.
Orellana throwing hammer fists to the chest of Fai. What's that going to do exactly?
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fai misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Orellana manages to regain half guard. Good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Orellana dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Fai darts in trying to clinch
and Orellana counters with a one-two to the body.
Orellana takes a kick to the side of the head.
Fai fails in his attempt to clinch.
Fai moves out of range as Orellana strikes.
Orellana moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Orellana takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Fai tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Orellana counters by moving into the clinch.
Fai misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Orellana.
Orellana is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Fai comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fai with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Orellana wants to break the clinch but can't.
Orellana can't get the takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fai lands an elbow inside.
Orellana tries to score a body lock takedown but Fai shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Fai lands an elbow just above Orellana 's eye.
Fai lands a shot to the body.
Fai landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Fai using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Fai unloads a knee to the mid-section. Orellana lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Fai lands an elbow that stopped Orellana in his tracks for a moment.

Fai lands a knee to the body.
Orellana tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Orellana. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Fai.
Fai crunches a lovely knee into Orellana's ribcage.
Orellana can't get the takedown.
Orellana avoiding damage as Fai throws knees to the body.

Orellana manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Orellana lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fai!
Orellana is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Orellana trying to control but Fai is having none of it.
Fai keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Orellana with a couple of short strikes.
Fai really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Orellana. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Orellana is working for a guillotine from mount but Fai frees his head quite easily.
Fai is desperately trying to improve his position but Orellana has a good base and remains in mount.
Orellana looking to finish Fai with some ground and pound. This is bad for Fai!
Orellana is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fai can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The referee warns Fai that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Orellana lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fai wants to control but Orellana is having none of it.
Fai can't escape the position.

Orellana working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Fai turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Orellana off and cradles Fai's limp body as Orellana celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Frank Orellana!
