Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gorge Jurgel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Jaffer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jurgel kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rock N Roll Train. Jaffer has chosen DubRaider- Starry Eyes as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gorge Jurgel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Jaffer!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaffer lands a jab.
Jurgel thows a body shot but no joy.
James Jaffer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jaffer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jurgel sprawls well initially but Jaffer persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Jaffer's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Jaffer is looking to take a break and control but Jurgel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. James Jaffer wasn't active enough on the ground.
Jaffer scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Jurgel takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Jurgel tries to get to full guard but Jaffer has control of the leg.

Jurgel is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jaffer is thwarting Jurgel's attempts to control the position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jaffer seems to be working for a kimura but Jurgel defends the submission attempt.

Jaffer is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Jurgel still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Jurgel has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Jaffer sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

James Jaffer has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Jurgel cracks Jaffer with a good jab.

Jaffer takes the fight into the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Jaffer scores with a nice short uppercut.

Jaffer is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Jurgel is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jurgel tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jaffer paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gorge Jurgel.
Jaffer takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Jurgel looks to land a left hand but Jaffer moved out of range nicely.
Jaffer connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jaffer throws a series of punches but Jurgel avoids them all with ease.

Jaffer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jaffer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jurgel's head.
Jaffer is pressing down on Jurgel's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jurgel is holding on for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jaffer in particular looking to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Jaffer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Jurgel throws a looping overhand right but Jaffer ducks down to avoid it.

Jaffer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Jurgel is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jaffer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jaffer's back!

Gorge Jurgel has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jaffer is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Jaffer trying to control the action but Jurgel just sinks the hooks in.
Jurgel throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Jaffer!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

James Jaffer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jaffer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
