Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nori Borec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aljo Stajerski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Borec might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Carl orff - o fortuna. Stajerski has chosen ACAB as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stajerski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Borec swats away the attempt to clinch by Stajerski.
Borec swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Stajerski.
Borec keeps the fight on the outside.
Stajerski tries to clinch up.
Good shot there by Borec.
Borec moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Borec misses with a body shot.
Borec lands with a shot to the body.

Borec fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stajerski, pushing him back against the cage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Stajerski misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Borec circles away from the clinch attempt
and Borec counters with a nice kick to the body.
Borec is looking to land body kicks.
Stajerski closes the distance but Borec moves to the side
and Borec counters with a nice uppercut.
Borec moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Stajerski tries to clinch
and Borec counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Borec lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Stajerski has taken the fight to the clinch.
Borec is leaning against Stajerski and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Borec can't break the clinch.
Borec is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Stajerski is working for takedown but Borec is calmly controlling the position for now.

Borec breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Borec works over Stajerski's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Aljo Stajerski has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Borec throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

and Borec counters with a good low kick that Stajerski was not able to check.

Borec moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Borec fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stajerski manages to avoid it.
Stajerski swats away the attempt to clinch by Borec.
Stajerski tries to close the distance and clinch but Borec swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Borec holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Stajerski keeps control of Borec as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Borec is looking to break free of the clinch but Stajerski has double underhooks.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Borec fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stajerski manages to avoid it.
Stajerski throws a leg kick but Borec sees it coming and moves out of range.
Borec looks to score with a jab to the body but Stajerski is just out of range.
Borec missing with a left hand there. Stajerski was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

and Borec counters with a two punch combo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Borec swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Borec counters by clinching up.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Borec here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Stajerski jumps guard and drags Borec to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Stajerski had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Borec is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Stajerski Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Borec's back instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stajerski is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Borec has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Stajerski is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Borec is defending well though. Stajerski let's go of the attempt for now.

Borec knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stajerski on the ground.
Borec manages to reverse the position and now he's in Stajerski's guard. Nice work there by Borec.

Aljo Stajerski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Stajerski shoots for a double leg takedown but Borec sprawls well. He's pushed Stajerski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nori Borec has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aljo Stajerski.
Borec rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stajerski moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Stajerski shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Borec as he avoids it easily.
Nori Borec is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Stajerski takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
