Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Melvin Manhoef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Volkov has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Alexander Volkov will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manhoef throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Manhoef misses with a hook. Volkov ducked under it nicely.
Manhoef connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Manhoef loads up on a big right hand but Volkov slips the punch.
Volkov takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Manhoef looks to land a combination but Volkov avoids it well.

Manhoef closes the distance and pushes Volkov back into the ropes.
Manhoef keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Volkov's efforts to push away.
Volkov tries to break the clinch but Manhoef is controlling the position.
Volkov has had enough of the clinch but Manhoef keeps him there for the moment.
Manhoef prevents Volkov from breaking the clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Manhoef.
Volkov looks winded!

It looks like Alexander Volkov has been cut.
Manhoef is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Manhoef digs a right hand into Volkov's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Volkov's gas tank.

Manhoef connects with a nasty looking knee right to Volkov's face.

Manhoef drops Volkov with a big knee straight up the middle! Volkov is covering up against the ropes but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Manhoef throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Manhoef will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice defenses there by Volkov.
Manhoef lands with a big right hook that stumbles Volkov - he's out on his feet here! Manhoef follows up with another monster hook that separates Volkov from consciousness! Volkov falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Manhoef stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
