Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Az Newto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tor Folkesson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newto takes a jab right on the kisser.

Folkesson instigates a clinch.

Newto manages to break the clinch.
Newto stuffs the takedown attempt from Folkesson. Folkesson gets slowly back to his feet.
Folkesson tries to bum rush Newto with a series of wild strikes but Newto uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Folkesson shoots for a takedown but Newto saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Newto swats away the attempt to clinch by Folkesson.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Newto - that will leave a mark!
Folkesson slips a jab and a cross from Newto.
Newto walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Folkesson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Folkesson shoots in but no luck this time.
Az Newto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tor Folkesson.
Folkesson darts in looking for a takedown but Newto gets double underhooks and turns Folkesson into the cage.
Folkesson wants to take the fight to the mat but Newto manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Newto has had enough of the clinch but Folkesson keeps him there for the moment.

Newto tries to throw a body punch but Folkesson avoids it by throwing Newto back against the cage.

Folkesson is trying to trip Newto. He has hold of a leg but Newto is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Folkesson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Newto is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Newto is fighting off a takedown attempt but Folkesson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Newto to the mat. Newto regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Folkesson throws a strike but Newto rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Folkesson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Folkesson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Newto on his heels. He'll look to pass Newto's guard now, I'm sure.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Folkesson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Newto dives on top into guard.

Newto wants to stand but Folkesson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Folkesson has his feet on Newto's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Folkesson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Newto's half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Folkesson cracks Newto with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Tor Folkesson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Folkesson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Newto can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Folkesson postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Newto in real trouble here! The ref calls for Newto to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
