Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Columbo Gatti and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Tyler.
Yasui is looking to clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tyler has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Yasui tries to close the distance and clinch but Tyler swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The fight stays on the outside here - Yasui looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tyler avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Yasui drops his hands momentarily and Tyler takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Yasui would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Yasui wants to stand and escape but instead Tyler has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Tyler drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Yasui manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tyler has Yasui in his guard.
Yasui stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tyler swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tyler is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Yasui is aware though and is defending well.
Tyler is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Yasui defends well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
