Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Kringle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitchell Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kringle comes to the cage accompanied by Wating on the world to change, by John Mayer. Jones comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Everything Zen- Bush kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Chris Kringle has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 17 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chris Kringle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mitchell Jones!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kringle has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Jones throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jones thows a left - swing and a miss!
Jones cracks the inside of Kringle's front leg.
Kringle works the jab nicely.
Jones throws a body kick that misses.
Jones has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kringle finds it's way round the side to connect with Jones's head.
A lazy left from Kringle finds it's target.


Jones is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones is still on wobbly legs! Can Kringle finish him?
Kringle misses with a wild body shot.

Kringle takes the fight into the clinch.
Jones seems to have recovered his senses.
Kringle gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Jones managing to block the knees to the body from Kringle.

Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kringle has managed to clinch.
Jones throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Kringle is looking to control Jones's arms but Jones gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kringle has his back to the cage.

Jones misses with a knee to the head.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Jones tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kringle avoids it.

No joy there for Kringle, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kringle avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kringle ducks under a wild hook from Jones.

Kringle takes the fight into the clinch.

Jones presses Kringle against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Kringle softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Kringle struggles to land a body shot inside as Jones controls his hands.
Kringle tries to throw a body punch but Jones avoids it by throwing Kringle back against the cage.
Jones blocks the elbow strike.
Jones slows down the pace here.

Jones is looking to control Kringle's arms but Kringle gets an underhook and turns him. Now Jones has his back to the cage.
Jones misses with an elbow over the top.
Kringle lands an elbow inside.

Jones is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kringle is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jones to the mat. Jones regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kringle postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jones avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kringle makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Kringle scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Kringle throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jones working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kringle.
Kringle throwing strikes but missing.
Kringle lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Kringle with a flurry of punches that miss.
Kringle trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jones's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kringle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kringle throws a big right hand that misses.
Jones throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Kringle throws a big elbow that misses.
Jones working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kringle.
Kringle throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Kringle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jones controls Kringle momentarily but Kringle frees himself.
Kringle tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jones throws a sloppy head kick
and Kringle counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Kringle takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.
Kringle wants to clinch.
Jones throws a shot from downtown. Kringle moves away and avoids it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kringle looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jones throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Jones lands a two punch combo.
Kringle throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jones looks to land a combination. Kringle sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Chris Kringle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kringle takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Kringle closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kringle cracks Jones with a solid left hand.
Kringle won't allow Jones to sweep him here.
Kringle prevents Jones from getting back to his feet.
Jones wants to sweep but no luck.

Kringle wants to stand but Jones is controlling his posture from full guard.

Kringle lands a big shot there that rocks Jones but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Jones tries to hold on but Kringle postures up.
Kringle pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Chris Kringle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kringle postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Jones is out cold - huge knockout for Kringle!

Chris Kringle seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
