Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jellal Mystogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rogers comes to the cage accompanied by I Am A Real American. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Steve Rogers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jellal Mystogan!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Mystogan throws a head kick that misses.
Rogers swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rogers doesn't manage to clinch there - Mystogan circles away.
Rogers tries to close the distance and clinch but Mystogan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rogers sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Mystogan to the ground! Rogers dives into full mount looking to finish!


It looks like Jellal Mystogan has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Rogers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rogers tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Rogers misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Mystogan sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rogers thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mystogan's head.

We're going to have a standup here because Steve Rogers wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rogers looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Rogers escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Steve Rogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mystogan's corner calls for a 1-2. Mystogan obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Mystogan thumps Rogers with a low kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rogers clinches up against the cage.

Mystogan turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mystogan manages to end up in side control.
The strikes coming from Mystogan are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Rogers regains half guard, as Mystogan was trying to land strikes.
Mystogan misses with a head shot. Rogers uses the momentum to regain guard.
Mystogan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Mystogan chips away with some ground and pound.
Mystogan throws a big elbow that misses.
Mystogan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Mystogan wants to control from the top but Rogers keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rogers fails in his attempt to clinch.

Mystogan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mystogan scores with a couple of short elbows.
Mystogan works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Rogers is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Mystogan is controlling him well.

Mystogan lands a big elbow - Rogers is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Mystogan!
