Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

21 - 56 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Ketchup!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ketchup swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Christian counters with an outside leg kick.
Christian wants to clinch.
Christian shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ketchup manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Christian is looking to stand up but Ketchup won't let him.
Ketchup is working an open guard so Christian takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Christian darts in and clinches Ketchup up against the ropes.
Christian lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Ketchup is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Ketchup drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ketchup jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. John Ketchup hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

I was talking to Christian's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Ketchup tries to break the clinch but Christian is controlling the position.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Christian obliges.

Ketchup stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Christian swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Christian pulls Ketchup in close to his closed guard and prevents Ketchup from doing any damage or advancing position.
Christian is scooting his butt against the ropes and has managed to get back to his feet. Ketchup presses him back against the ropes, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Christian throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ketchup tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Christian is in Ketchup's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Christian dips a shoulder and cracks Ketchup with a mighty uppercut! Ketchup falls back against the ropes and Christian unloads with a barrage of strikes! Ketchup is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the ropes! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Christian screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cappy Christian!
A relieved looking Cappy Christian thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
