The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ludvik bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Tribbiani takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Tribbiani trying to remain calm as Ludvik controls from the top position.
Let's hope that Ludvik has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Gunnar Ludvik hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Tribbiani thows a body shot but no joy.

Ludvik is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Tribbiani's half guard.
Ludvik is pressing down on Tribbiani's thigh, looking to free his foot. Tribbiani is holding on for now.
Ludvik perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Ludvik seems to be looking for submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tribbiani misses with a jab, cross combination.
Tribbiani keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ludvik avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Ludvik manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tribbiani on his heels. He'll look to pass Tribbiani's guard now, I'm sure.
Ludvik slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Tribbiani throws a looping overhand right but Ludvik ducks down to avoid it.

Ludvik dodges the punch combination from Tribbiani.

Tribbiani throws a right hand that Ludvik ducks under and follows up with a left that Ludvik also avoids with ease.

Ludvik closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Ludvik is putting a hurting on Tribbiani here, landing some big shots from side control.
You can see the frustration on Tribbiani's face as Ludvik controls the position.
Tribbiani knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ludvik on the ground.

Ludvik has hold of Tribbiani's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Tribbiani tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Ludvik cranks the arm and Tribbiani screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Tribbiani, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
