Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture fails to land with a series of punches.
Couture misses with a double jab.
Couture throws a series of punches but Hawkins moves out of range.
Couture ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hawkins moves away.
Hawkins tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Couture closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Couture working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Couture tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Hawkins is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Couture asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Couture could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Couture creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hawkins sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Couture throws an elbow but Hawkins slips to the side and avoids it well.

Hawkins wants to control the position but that's not easy when your opponent is in side control! Couture seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! Hawkins is tapping! Wow, great finish!
