The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takamura throws a hook to the side of O Leary's head but O Leary sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
O Leary needs to keep his hands up - Takamura had a free shot at his head there.
Takamura throws a body punch but O Leary moves out of range.
Takamura misses with the combination.
Takamura throws a jab but it's blocked by O Leary.
Takamura dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on O Leary. That did some damage!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Takamura throws a solid leg kick but O Leary takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Takamura.

Takamura jabs O Leary to the body, keeping him at a distance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

After the fight, Mamoru Takamura was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
