Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takeshi Yuudai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerzy Killer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yuudai's entrance music is Fear of the dark - Iron Maiden. A fine choice. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Takeshi Yuudai!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jerzy Killer!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yuudai fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Yuudai swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Yuudai walks forward, straight into a front kick from Killer.
Yuudai blocks a leg kick.
Yuudai avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Killer moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Killer misses with a head kick.

Killer has closed the distance and engaged Yuudai in a clinch.
Knees to the body from Killer.

Yuudai has hold of one of Killer's legs. Killer is fighting the takedown attempt but Yuudai gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Yuudai is pushing down on Killer's leg trying to pass to half guard. Killer is fighting to maintain full guard but Yuudai has managed to sneak the leg through.

Killer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

We've been hearing that Yuudai has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Killer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yuudai. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Yuudai is working for a submission of some sort.

Yuudai is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Killer still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Killer has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Yuudai is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Killer remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Yuudai wants to get back to his feet but Killer drags him back down.

Killer decides to stand up, so the ref orders Yuudai to his feet.
Killer fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Yuudai.
Yuudai blocks a head kick by Killer.
Killer lands a nice leg kick that just misses Yuudai's sensitive parts.
Jerzy Killer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Killer cracks Yuudai with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Yuudai shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Yuudai postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Killer is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Yuudai postures up in Killer's guard and throws a big left but Killer blocks it.
Yuudai throws a big right hand that misses.

Yuudai thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Yuudai postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Yuudai stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Killer swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Killer has control of Yuudai's left arm, preventing Yuudai from doing any damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Killer trying to keep a closed guard but Yuudai is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Takeshi Yuudai will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Nice body punch from Killer.
Killer throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Killer is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Killer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Yuudai looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Yuudai uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Killer.
Yuudai missing with a left hand there. Killer was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Yuudai takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Killer slaps away a takedown attempt from Yuudai, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Yuudai checks a leg kick.
Yuudai takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Yuudai closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Killer is defending against the submission attempts here by Yuudai.

Yuudai is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yuudai works his way into side control.
Yuudai lands a few punches from side control.
Killer is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Killer wants to control but Yuudai postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Killer tries to bench press Yuudai off him but Yuudai keeps the position.
Yuudai tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Yuudai postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Yuudai thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Killer can do anything to dispel that myth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Yuudai thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Killer's head.

Yuudai is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Killer defends it well.

Killer explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
A nice inside leg kick there by Killer. That's going to slow Yuudai down.
Killer throws a leg kick but Yuudai sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Yuudai changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Killer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yuudai has hold of Killer's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Killer tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Yuudai cranks the arm and Killer screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Killer, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Takeshi Yuudai!

Our winner, Takeshi Yuudai, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
