Hawkins gets a trip takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Hawkins wants to pass to mount but Toro is defending the position.

Hawkins decides to stand up.

A head kick misses from Hawkins.
Toro scores with a nice strike.

Toro lands a big uppercut and Hawkins crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hawkins looks OK. Toro waves Hawkins back to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hawkins fails with a takedown attempt.
Hawkins misses with a takedown attempt - Toro sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Toro tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hawkins paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Hawkins throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Toro tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hawkins is in Toro's guard.
Hawkins wants to control from the top but Toro keeps moving.
Toro is controlling Hawkins's posture.

Toro has a closed guard, preventing Hawkins from standing up.

Hershey Hawkins has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Toro cracks a nice hook into Hawkins's ribs.
Hawkins is breathing heavily.
Hawkins gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Toro points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Hawkins wakes up just in time to hear Toro thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
