These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Elkins instigates a clinch.

Pietrzyk wants the takedown. Elkins is fighting it off but Pietrzyk persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Elkins's guard against the cage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Elkins is fighting off a takedown attempt but Pietrzyk is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Elkins to the mat. Elkins regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
