The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Chatterjee to the ground. Jackson is now in Chatterjee's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Chatterjee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Chatterjee has a closed guard, preventing Jackson from standing up.
Jackson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chatterjee swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Chatterjee lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chatterjee on the ground.
Chatterjee can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jackson is looking to escape.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Chatterjee wants to control the pace but Jackson is squirming around nicely.

Chatterjee feints and as Jackson raises his hands in defense, Chatterjee changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jackson wants to stand and escape but Chatterjee is having none of it.

Chatterjee darts in and clinches Jackson up against the cage.

Chatterjee had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jackson defends it easily.

Jackson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jackson wants to take the fight to the mat but Chatterjee manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Abhijit Chatterjee was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
