Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Renan Barao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Soku Geiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Geiger has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Soku Geiger has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barao moves in looking to clinch but Geiger pushes him off.
Barao wants to clinch.
Geiger lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Barao shoots in but Geiger avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Barao dives in and grabs Geiger's left leg, looking for a takedown. Geiger pushes down on Barao's head and hops out.
Geiger shoots in and gets a takedown into Barao's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Barao wants to get back to his feet but Geiger is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Geiger tries to free his leg and advance position but Barao is retaining full guard.

Barao wants to get back to striking at distance but Geiger won't allow it.
Barao tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Geiger smiles and moves away.

Barao goes for a double leg but Geiger avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Geiger continues to drive forward.
Geiger is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Barao jumps guard but Geiger turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Barao trying to control the position but instead, Geiger has worked for underhooks and has pushed Barao into the cage.
Geiger changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Barao fights it off and pushes away nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Geiger closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Soku Geiger dominated that round.

and Geiger counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Barao bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Geiger's guard.
Barao wants to control from the top but Geiger keeps moving.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Renan Barao.
Geiger moves into the clinch.
Geiger is breathing heavily.
Geiger drags the fight down to the ground.

Barao stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Geiger swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Barao would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Renan Barao just wasn't active enough.

Geiger clinches up with Barao and pushes him back against the cage.

Geiger lands a takedown into guard.

Barao looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Geiger is defending well. Barao quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Geiger has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Barao celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
