PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Agris JB (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Jaicko Lawrence - Caribbean Girl . Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
JB shoots in looking for a takedown but Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing JB's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
JB looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
JB changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but JB manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
JB is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.
Silva looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Silva's coach down at OLIMP GYM was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Silva's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Silva lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as JB backs up against the cage.

JB rushes Silva and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Silva is looking for a takedown up against the cage. JB gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
JB wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Silva's face as he tries to break the clinch.

JB has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Silva uses from the top position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as JB holds on and takes a little breather.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

JB got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, JB has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted.
JB has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

JB's jab looks to have found its range, popping Silva under the eye.

A punch lands to the side of Silva 's head but he takes it in his stride.

JB digs a right hand underneath Silva's ribcage. Silva let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Silva is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and JB has denied him.

Silva tightens his grip and picks JB up, before dumping him to the ground. JB manages to land in guard.
JB is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Still in half guard, JB seems content to control.
JB seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Silva is not content to let JB control the position.
JB knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.
JB is just content to waste time from the top position. Silva takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

JB is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Silva is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Silva has escaped and now he's on top!

I would just about give that final round to Brock Silva.
