Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

8 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thane Krios!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abdul Raziq!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raziq with a lazy takedown attempt
and Krios counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Raziq gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Krios counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Raziq slips a jab from Krios.
Raziq misses with a takedown attempt
and Krios counters with a straight right hand.
Thane Krios has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abdul Raziq.

Krios slaps away a takedown attempt from Raziq, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Raziq shoots in looking for a takedown. Krios tries to sprawl out of it but Raziq keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Krios manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Raziq shoots in for a takedown but Krios shows good takedown defense.
Krios lands the left hand.
Krios misses with an uppercut.
Raziq shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Krios pinned against the cage. Krios gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Krios jabbing away but nothing is landing.

and Krios counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Krios wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Raziq misses with a takedown
and Krios counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Raziq shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Krios counters with a crisp right that sends Raziq to the canvas! Krios follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Thane Krios was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
