The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Rocky connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rocky tries to score a power double leg takedown but Solo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rocky somewhat.

Solo cracks Rocky with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Solo misses with an uppercut. Rocky saw that one coming.
Rocky shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Solo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The fighters circling - Solo throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Solo wants to stand and escape but instead Rocky has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Solo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rocky is controlling him.
Rocky stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Solo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rocky thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Solo is not content to let Rocky control the position.
Rocky throws an elbow but Solo slips to the side and avoids it well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rocky is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Solo has escaped the position, nice work there.

Rocky decides to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
