Adams kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is 'Looking For The Stone' by Dry Branch Fire Squad. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, JR Adams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ian Turner!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner moves in looking to clinch but Adams pushes him off.
Adams shoots in but no luck this time.
Turner misses with a low kick.
Adams swats away the attempt to clinch by Turner.
Adams looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Turner keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Turner stuffs the takedown attempt from Adams. Adams gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JR Adams. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Turner displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Adams.
Turner dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Adams. That did some damage!
Turner connects with an inside leg kick.
Adams takes a swing at Turner's ribcage but misses.
Adams fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Adams shoots in and drives through. Turner sprawls well.
Turner plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


It looks like JR Adams has been cut.
Ian Turner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A looping hook to the body misses from Adams. Turner does a little dance to reset his feet.
Adams tries to score a power double leg takedown but Turner sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Adams somewhat.

Adams feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Adams postures up in Turner's guard and throws a big left but Turner blocks it.
Turner avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Adams passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Adams is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Turner knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Adams misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Adams in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Turner is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). JR Adams!
