Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cyprian Warga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian MacAiken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacAiken has chosen Dropkick Myrphy's / Rose Tattoo as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacAiken tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Warga was well out of range. Poor timing from MacAiken.
Warga misses with a head kick.
Warga avoids the body shot from MacAiken.
MacAiken throws an overhand right that lands on Warga's shoulder, as Warga tries to avoid the shot.
We've been told by Warga's head coaches at Polish Top Team Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Warga is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as MacAiken accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
MacAiken is in close to Warga's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Warga has his foot on MacAiken's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. MacAiken works his way back into a safe position though.
MacAiken wants to control from the top but Warga keeps moving.

MacAiken is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
MacAiken has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Warga is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. MacAiken is aware though and is defending well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

MacAiken wants to pass the guard but Warga is keeping the position.

That's time! Warga's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Warga displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as MacAiken throws out the jab.
Ian MacAiken seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

MacAiken takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
MacAiken moves out of range of the body kick from Warga.
MacAiken scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Warga throws a head kick that half lands.
Warga connects with the punch.
Warga does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Warga is looking to slow MacAiken down with leg kicks.
MacAiken uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Warga.
Warga pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
MacAiken tries to score a power double leg takedown but Warga sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten MacAiken somewhat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Warga throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Warga is looking to land body kicks.
A chopping leg kick lands by Warga.
MacAiken tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Warga defends well and MacAiken ends up having to push Warga into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

MacAiken tries to break the clinch but Warga is controlling the position.

Warga jumps guard and drags MacAiken to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Warga is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! MacAiken has his hands clasped together but Warga extends and breaks MacAiken's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Warga.
