Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chucky Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul blocks the body kick.
A head kick misses from Rose.
Rose throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Rose tries to close the distance and clinch up but Paul swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Paul is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Paul ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Paul throws a head kick but Rose moves out of range.

and Paul counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Paul.

Paul decides to pull guard.

Paul is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rose is aware though and is defending well.
Rose is fighting to break Paul's control of his arms but Paul is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Rose slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Paul.

Paul pushes Rose off and gets back to his feet.
Paul shoots in looking for a takedown. Rose tries to sprawl out of it but Paul keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rose manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Paul has managed to clinch.
Paul is pressed up against the cage. Rose has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Paul down to the mat. Paul avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Paul misses with a head kick.

Rose closes the distance but Paul moves to the side

and Paul counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Rose wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
A frustrated look appears on Rose's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Rose changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Paul fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Paul throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Paul shoots in for a double leg but Rose sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rose misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rose tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rose is breathing heavily.

Paul rushes Rose and presses him up against the cage.

Paul tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Rose avoids it.

Paul jumps into guard, dragging Rose to the mat.

Paul has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Rose is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Paul pulls Rose into guard.

Paul has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Rose has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Rose's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Paul escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Rose has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Paul is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Rose is trying to break the clinch but Paul is controlling him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Paul successfully pulls guard.

Paul is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Paul has Rose pulled in close to control his posture.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rose works over Paul's head and body with a nice combination.
Paul is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Paul is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rose is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Rose is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Paul asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Paul remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Rose is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Paul is controlling him well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Paul shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rose as he avoids it easily.

Rocky Paul showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Rose wants to clinch.

Rose tries to work over Paul's front leg with a kick but Paul checks it.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rose lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Paul has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Paul and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Rose will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rose throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Paul shoots in looking for a takedown but Rose manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Paul's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Paul rushes Rose and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Paul lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Rose.
Rose jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Paul walks away with a smile on his face. Rose gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
