PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Urban Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Lacroix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Fox might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Natural Born Killers Soundtrack. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fox tries to clinch but Lacroix moves away
and Lacroix finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Lacroix rushes Fox and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Urban Fox.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Max Lacroix hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Fox gets tackled into the cage by Lacroix. Lacroix maintains the clinch.

Lacroix jumps guard but Fox turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Fox is pressed up against the cage. Lacroix has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fox down to the mat. Fox avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Fox is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lacroix asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Lacroix wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fox keeps working.
Lacroix gets to mount! Fox was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Fox is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
