Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wily Kealoha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kealoha has chosen Hula Hula as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andrew Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wily Kealoha!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kealoha.
Andrew Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kealoha avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kealoha dodges the punch combination from Anderson.
Kealoha throws a jab but it's blocked by Anderson.
Anderson avoids the body shot from Kealoha.
Anderson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kealoha.

Anderson gets a takedown into half guard.
Kealoha is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Anderson looks to land a strike but Kealoha avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Kealoha is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Anderson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kealoha is on top in guard.
Anderson wants to sweep here but Kealoha controlling him for the moment.
Anderson wants to stand up but Kealoha is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kealoha wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving.

Anderson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kealoha trying to control but Anderson is working from the bottom.
Kealoha slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Wily Kealoha was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Anderson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Anderson lands a nice hook to Kealoha's body. Kealoha takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Kealoha takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Anderson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kealoha did well to prevent Anderson getting side control.

Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Kealoha is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kealoha is on top in guard.
Anderson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Anderson manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

A frustrated look appears on Anderson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Anderson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Kealoha has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Anderson regains guard immediately.
My spies in Dark Violence Systems inform me that Kealoha has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Kealoha is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kealoha trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Anderson manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrew Anderson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


A combination from Anderson does no damage.
Anderson throws a series of punches but Kealoha moves out of range.
Kealoha showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Anderson.
Anderson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Anderson throws a right hand that Kealoha ducks under and follows up with a left that Kealoha also avoids with ease.
Anderson misses with a two punch combination.
Anderson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kealoha circles away.
Kealoha looks to throw the jab but Anderson is out of range.

Anderson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Anderson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Anderson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kealoha has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Anderson but great work by Kealoha.

Anderson tries to bench press Kealoha off him but Kealoha keeps the position.
Kealoha passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Anderson!
Kealoha tries to control but Anderson wriggling away.
Anderson tries to improve his position but instead Kealoha has taken his back!
Kealoha slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anderson trying to get back to his feet but Kealoha is in full control for now.
Kealoha is looking to control Anderson but Anderson is wriggling around and keeping busy.

What can Anderson do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Anderson looking very determined here, making life difficult for Kealoha.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Wily Kealoha wasn't active enough on the ground.
Kealoha fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Anderson manages to avoid it.
Kealoha misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Anderson.
Anderson throws a series of punches but Kealoha moves out of range.
Kealoha tries to score a power double leg takedown but Anderson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kealoha somewhat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Anderson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kealoha's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Anderson stands up over Kealoha, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Anderson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Anderson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kealoha works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Anderson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kealoha's head.
Kealoha is trying to keep Anderson in close.
Kealoha avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Anderson throws a strike but Kealoha rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kealoha ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Anderson moves away.
Anderson throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Kealoha stumbling backwards into the cage! Kealoha bounces back off the cage towards Anderson, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Anderson lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Anderson celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Andrew Anderson!
