Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rip Teal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flint Marko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rip Teal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Flint Marko!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marko is trying hard to land a takedown here. Teal sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Marko has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Teal misses with a jab to the body

and Marko counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Marko looking to sit in guard and control but Teal gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Teal stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marko swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Marko is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Teal defends well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marko moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Teal has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Teal is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Marko has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Teal is looking to defend but Marko has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Teal! Marko pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Teal taps out and this one is all over!
