Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hosokawa Kento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Billy Savage is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kento changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Savage tries to avoid it but Kento manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Savage to the ground. Savage escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Savage lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kento circles away quickly and effectively.
Good standup being displayed there by Savage as he connects with a hook.
Savage throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kento tries for a takedown but Savage sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kento tries to score a power double leg takedown but Savage sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kento somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hosokawa Kento. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Savage connects with a jab.
Savage cracks Kento with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Kento takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Kento is trying hard to land a takedown here. Savage sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kento darts in looking for a takedown but Savage gets double underhooks and turns Kento into the cage.

Savage escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Savage counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Kento takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Savage throws the kick towards the body but Kento avoids it.
Kento stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Savage.

Kento shoots in looking for a takedown but Savage manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kento's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kento. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Savage lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Savage drops Kento with a big left hand and mounts him. Kento is in big trouble!

A big strike lands for Savage! That's really hurt Kento and he's turned his back - Savage keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Savage jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
