Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vitaliy Kleva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DeMario Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vitaliy Kleva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, DeMario Williams!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kleva.
Williams thows a body shot but no joy.
A slow jab from Williams misses its intended target.
Kleva falls off balance throwing a combination

and Williams counters with a takedown into side control.
Kleva tries to bench press Williams off him but Williams keeps the position.
Kleva sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Kleva is trying to stand up here but Williams is controlling him well.
Williams lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kleva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Williams is working away from the top position though.
Williams takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Williams is pressing down on Kleva's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kleva is holding on for now.
Kleva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Williams is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Vitaliy Kleva.
Williams throws a jab but it's blocked by Kleva.
Williams jabs Kleva right on the nose. Kleva blinks but takes it well.
Kleva throws a left and a right that both miss
and Williams counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kleva tries a head kick but it misses.
Williams moves away from the strike by Kleva.
Kleva misses with a body kick.
Kleva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Williams moves into the clinch.
Kleva is trying to push Williams away but Williams has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kleva is trying to break the clinch but Williams has him pressed against the cage.
Williams lands a nice shot to the body.
Kleva takes a shot to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Williams scores with a shot to the side of Kleva's head.

Williams works on Kleva's body with a couple of short punches.
Kleva is breathing heavily.
Williams lands a nice shot to the body.

Williams has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kleva regains guard immediately.
Williams postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Williams must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Kleva looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Williams is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Williams wants to pass the guard but Kleva is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Williams not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Williams controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Williams fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kleva manages to avoid it.
Kleva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Williams as he avoids it easily.
Williams throws a lazy uppercut
and Kleva counters with a big head kick but Williams shrugs it off.
Williams misses with a looping right.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

DeMario Williams dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kleva fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Williams manages to avoid it.
Kleva throws a wild body kick that Williams sees coming a mile off.
Kleva throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kleva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kleva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Williams cracks a nice hook into Kleva's ribs.

and Williams counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kleva throws out a leg kick but Williams moves out of range and Kleva only half commits.
Kleva shoots for a double leg takedown but Williams sprawls well. He's pushed Kleva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Williams counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Williams landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Williams content to control rather than advance.
Williams lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
DeMario Williams has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nice strikes from Williams there.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Williams is nestled in close to Kleva, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Williams is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Williams is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Williams slows the pace down in half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Williams connects with a nice short shot to Kleva's temple.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Williams looks up at the clock and then as Kleva takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Williams smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Williams scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Kleva to see if he's OK.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kleva is rocked!
Williams just content to control the position.
Kleva takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Oh Kleva is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Williams looks up at the clock and then as Kleva takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Williams smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Williams passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Kleva!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kleva seems to have got his legs back now.
Williams has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

DeMario Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

A swing and a miss from Williams.
Williams stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Williams wants it to stay on the feet.
Kleva slips a jab from Williams.
Williams jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kleva looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Williams misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kleva.
Williams throws a poor cross that misses
and Kleva counters with a left and a right that stings Williams.
Kleva with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Williams moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Kleva closes the distance looking to clinch
and Williams counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kleva takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Williams gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Williams lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
A shot in the inside from Williams.
Williams lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Kleva to his knees! Williams keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
