Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerry Chandler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Les Sobrante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chandler comes to the cage accompanied by Silverchair - Tomorrow. Sobrante has chosen Primus - Fisticuffs as his entrance music. Les Sobrante told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gerry Chandler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Les Sobrante!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chandler throws a nice inside leg kick.
Chandler thumps Sobrante with a low kick.
Sobrante wants to clinch.
A solid leg kick lands there for Chandler.
Chandler connects with a leg kick. Sobrante looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sobrante crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Chandler - the referee stops the clock and Sobrante gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Chandler. Sobrante manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Sobrante might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Chandler has got the better of the exchanges.

In his post fight interview, Gerry Chandler started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
