The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sukeyuki scores with a body shot.
Sukeyuki shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cornelius misses the shot to the body.
Sukeyuki ducks under a wild hook from Cornelius.
Cornelius loads up on a big right hand but Sukeyuki slips the punch.
Sukeyuki throws the kick towards the body but Cornelius avoids it.
Sukeyuki uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cornelius.
Sukeyuki lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Cornelius lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

It looks like Matsumae Sukeyuki has been cut.
Cornelius looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Sukeyuki tries to move into range but Cornelius moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sukeyuki bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Sukeyuki closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Cornelius lands a hook that snaps the head of Sukeyuki backwards.
Cornelius can't find room to land a body shot as Sukeyuki controls the action.
Sukeyuki is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Cornelius pulls him back up using the underhooks.
A head punch on the inside from Sukeyuki fails to land.

Cornelius pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sukeyuki looks to throw the jab but Cornelius is out of range.

Heinrich Cornelius is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cornelius throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sukeyuki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cornelius.
Cornelius misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sukeyuki .
A head kick misses from Sukeyuki .
Cornelius fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sukeyuki manages to avoid it.
Cornelius takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Cornelius misses with a body punch
and Sukeyuki connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Cornelius throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sukeyuki stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Cornelius wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Cornelius scores with a hook to the body. Sukeyuki takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Sukeyuki looks winded!

Sukeyuki closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cornelius's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Cornelius is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cornelius is on top in guard.
Cornelius has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sukeyuki is proving hard to escape from.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sukeyuki seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Cornelius wants to stand but Sukeyuki is controlling his posture from full guard.

Cornelius is looking to stand up but Sukeyuki won't let him.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Matsumae Sukeyuki .
A nice leg kick lands there from Cornelius.
Cornelius misses with a low kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sukeyuki . Cornelius does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sukeyuki is looking to clinch.
Sukeyuki takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Cornelius looks to score with a jab to the body but Sukeyuki is just out of range.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Sukeyuki checks a leg kick.
Cornelius throws a series of punches but Sukeyuki avoids them all with ease.
Cornelius swats away the attempt to clinch by Sukeyuki .

Sukeyuki drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Cornelius is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sukeyuki off and has taken his back!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Cornelius lands a big uppercut and Sukeyuki crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Sukeyuki looks OK. Cornelius waves Sukeyuki back to his feet!

Sukeyuki is rocked!

That has opened up Matsumae Sukeyuki 's cut even more.

Cornelius lands a brutal uppercut that launches Sukeyuki off his feet! Sukeyuki tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
