Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Gold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gold comes into the arena with Goldust theme blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spencer throws a right and a left that both miss.
Spencer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gold was well out of range. Poor timing from Spencer.
Gold wants to clinch.
Spencer cracks Gold with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Spencer has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gold.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gold connects with a nice short shot to Spencer's temple.

That was a close round but I would say that Jamie Gold will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Gold has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Spencer finds it's way round the side to connect with Gold's head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gold tries to land a front kick but Spencer steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Spencer stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gold.

Spencer's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

and Gold counters with a nice double leg into side control. Spencer won't be happy with that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Spencer is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Gold off and has taken his back!

Spencer is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Gold with him. Gold is trying to defend but Spencer has an arm under the chin now! Gold grimaces and is forced to tap out!
