And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tony Jaa!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King throws a sloppy body shot

and Jaa decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in King's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Jaa wants to stand but King is controlling his posture from full guard.

Jaa gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
King attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Jaa connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between King's hands.

Jaa closes the distance and pushes King back into the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Jaa's face as he tries to break the clinch.

King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jaa keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
King scoring well with a low kick there.
We've been told by King's head coaches at The Pit that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

King throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
King fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Jaa connects with a crisp jab.
King fakes the leg kick and cracks Jaa in the body.

King moves into the clinch.
Jaa letting King take a breather here.
King misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Jaa.
King tries a knee to the head but Jaa blocks it.

King breaks the clinch.
Jaa lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
King throws a nice outside leg kick.
King throws a leg kick but Jaa sees it coming and moves out of range.
Jaa thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on King if he has to take too many more of those.
King looks to throw the jab but Jaa is out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
King tries to clinch there but Jaa circles away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
King buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jaa takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
King keeps Jaa at a distance using the push kick.
Jaa moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
King fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Jaa is out of range.
King thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Jaa if he has to take too many more of those.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
King prevents Jaa from breaking the clinch.
Jaa is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
King tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Jaa avoids it.
Jaa can't break the clinch.

King lands an elbow inside that Jaa shrugs off.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. King obliges.

King throws a leg kick which misses Jaa's front leg but catches the back leg as Jaa tries to avoid it.
King avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jaa takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

King closes the distance and clinches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
King lands a good knee to the midsection. Jaa won't want to take too many of those.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with King for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
King tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

King breaks from the clinch.
King scores with a leg kick.
Jaa takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
King wants to land a leg kick but Jaa is out of range.
Jaa scores with a sloppy right hand. King should have avoided that one.
Jaa lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
King gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Jaa counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Jaa wants to stand up but King is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Maggot King dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


King misses with a low kick.
King moves out of range as Jaa throws a body kick.
King throws a chopping leg kick but Jaa manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
King is looking to score with low kicks.
King tries a head kick but it misses.
King misses with a low kick.
Jaa defending well as King loads up on a big left hand.
King lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
King lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jaa circles away quickly and effectively.
King slips a jab and a cross from Jaa.
Jaa sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
King misses with an uppercut. Jaa saw that one coming.
Maggot King is winning the standup battle so far.
King swings away with a leg kick that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jaa swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by King.
King pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A nice combination there by Jaa.
A chopping leg kick lands by King.
King throws a leg kick but Jaa sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Jaa moves into the clinch.

King breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jaa's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Jaa misses with a low kick.
A low kick from King is predictable there

and Jaa counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Jaa seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jaa is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
King is looking for a sweep. Jaa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
King tries to kick Jaa off but Jaa keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tony Jaa hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
King will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Jaa takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
A solid leg kick lands there for King.
King wants to clinch.
King throws a leg kick that is checked

and Jaa counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
King throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jaa stands and steps away. King gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

King gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
King throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Jaa blocks it with crossed arms.

King pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jaa moves out of range as King throws a body kick.
King lands a big head kick that sends Jaa to the canvas! King follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maggot King!
During a confident post fight interview, Maggot King thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
