The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prime looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sepuesca is fending him off so far but Prime persists. Nope, Sepuesca circles away and we're back to standing.
Prime shoots for a takedown but Sepuesca saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Prime definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Prime misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sepuesca fails to land the takedown.
Sepuesca takes one on the chin but keeps coming.


It looks like Chris Charles Sepuesca has been cut.
Prime leaves Sepuesca with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Prime swats away the attempt to clinch by Sepuesca.
Prime fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Sepuesca just misses with a elbow thrown towards Prime's brow.
Sepuesca tries to pull guard but Prime won't allow it.
Prime prevents Sepuesca from breaking the clinch.

Prime escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sepuesca throws a right and a left that both miss.
Prime swats away the attempt to clinch by Sepuesca.
Prime shoots in and drives through. Sepuesca sprawls well.
Sepuesca tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Prime swivels and escapes.

Prime is breathing heavily.
Sepuesca does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Prime throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sepuesca fails with the takedown.

Prime gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Sepuesca wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Prime has him pressed against the cage.
Prime is trying to pull guard but Sepuesca has him pressed against the cage.

Prime breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Prime counters by moving into the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sepuesca is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Sepuesca tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Prime's elbow.

Prime jumps guard and drags Sepuesca to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Sepuesca looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Prime is fending him off so far but Sepuesca persists. Nope, Prime circles away and we're back to standing.

Prime lands a nice shot that snaps Sepuesca's head back.
Sepuesca tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Prime manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Prime blocks a leg kick.
Sepuesca has a takedown stuffed.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Prime shoots in looking for a takedown but Sepuesca manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Prime's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sepuesca tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Optimus Prime will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Chris Charles Sepuesca's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Sepuesca takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Sepuesca fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Prime tries a head kick but it misses.
Sepuesca shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Prime as he jumps to the side.
Optimus Prime is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Prime drops Sepuesca with a beautiful combination! Sepuesca stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Prime is looking for the KO!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Prime has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sepuesca uses from the top position.

Prime really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Prime throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sepuesca's waist but Sepuesca gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Prime off to one side.

Prime fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sepuesca avoids it really well and circles away.

Sepuesca shoots for a double leg takedown but Prime sprawls well. He's pushed Sepuesca's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Prime closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Sepuesca ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sepuesca no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Prime drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sepuesca looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sepuesca looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sepuesca!
Sepuesca wants to take a breather but Prime manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Sepuesca.

The referee is keeping an eye on Prime - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Prime pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Sepuesca back to the cage. Prime follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Prime, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
