Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fabricio Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edson Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Edson Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Carvalho looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Carvalho throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Carvalho is trying to control. Garcia wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Garcia can do anything to dispel that myth.

Carvalho is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Carvalho is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Garcia is just riding it out for now. Carvalho eventually gives up the hold.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Garcia gets caught napping as Carvalho dives in and scores a takedown. Garcia manages to retain guard.
