Keijo has chosen CMX - Pyörivät Sähkökoneet as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Rutten.
Rutten swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Keijo darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Keijo throws a head kick but Rutten moves out of range.
Keijo lands a jab to the head.
We've been informed that Keijo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Keijo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Rutten is looking to clinch but Keijo is avoiding it.
Rutten scores with a kick to the midsection.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rutten rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Keijo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Crunch! Rutten slams his shin into Keijo's torso.
Rutten feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Keijo's calf.
Rutten gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Keijo.
Keijo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Keijo thows a left - swing and a miss!
Keijo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rutten moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Keijo throws a hook to the side of Rutten's head but Rutten sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Keijo lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rutten.
A thudding body kick lands there by Rutten!
Rutten throws a nice outside leg kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Rutten throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Rutten tries to move into range but Keijo moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Keijo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Keijo lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Rutten fakes the leg kick and cracks Keijo in the body.
Rutten fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Keijo.
Brutaali Keijo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rutten pivots, looking for a leg kick but Keijo is out of range and Rutten settles back down.
Rutten lands with a thumping leg kick.
Keijo walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Rutten looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Rutten delivers a nice body kick.

Keijo throws a big shot that misses.
Rutten throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Keijo fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Rutten checks it well.
Keijo just misses with a punch to the body.

Keijo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Good leg kick by Rutten there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Rutten chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Rutten lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Rutten lets loose with a powerful body kick. Keijo will feel that in the morning.
Rutten explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Rutten lands a head kick. Keijo smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Keijo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rutten - the referee stops the clock and Keijo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rutten. Keijo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
A slapping leg kick lands for Rutten.
Rutten misses with an attempted mid kick.
Rutten fakes the leg kick and cracks Keijo in the body.
Rutten throws a leg kick which misses Keijo's front leg but catches the back leg as Keijo tries to avoid it.
Rutten looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Rutten lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Nice body punch from Rutten.
Rutten throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Rutten thumps Keijo with a low kick.
Rutten throws a front kick that sends Keijo stumbling back into the cage.
Keijo gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Keijo tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Rutten is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Keijo buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Keijo!! Keijo is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Rutten throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Taz Rutten!
A pretty intense looking Taz Rutten took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
