Pollo darts in looking for a takedown but Cardenas gets double underhooks and turns Pollo into the cage.

Pollo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cardenas napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Pollo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cardenas keeps working.

Cardenas pushes Pollo away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Pollo gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cardenas wants to get back to his feet but Pollo drags him back down.

Pollo has hold of Cardenas's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Cardenas tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Pollo cranks the arm and Cardenas screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Cardenas, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
