PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Amun Ra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toni Touhu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Touhu has chosen AC/DC - TNT as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ra looks to score with a jab to the body but Touhu is just out of range.
Touhu tries for a takedown but Ra circles away easily
and Ra counters with a three punch combo that has Touhu backing up. Touhu nods at Ra to acknowledge the strikes.

Touhu closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Touhu is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Toni Touhu.
Ra takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Ra moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Ra misses with a looping right.
We've been hearing reports that Ra has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Ra feints and as Touhu raises his hands in defense, Ra changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Touhu escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ra gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ra got a little sloppy there for a moment and Touhu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ra has managed to get both his arms back between Touhu's legs - danger averted.
Ra stands up over Touhu, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Touhu is looking to cinch up a triangle. Ra throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Touhu's body to avoid the submission. Touhu has instead reached around Ra's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Touhu arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
