Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Le Bleu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDonald kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is No Apologies. James Le Bleu will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald slaps away a takedown attempt from Le Bleu, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and McDonald counters with a nice double leg into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McDonald is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
McDonald stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Le Bleu swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Le Bleu is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McDonald defends well.
McDonald trying to move into half guard but instead Le Bleu has managed to sweep!

McDonald is looking for a triangle but Le Bleu pushes his legs off easily.
McDonald pulls Le Bleu in to control the position.

McDonald has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Le Bleu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McDonald has his foot on Le Bleu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Le Bleu works his way back into a safe position though.

Le Bleu has an Americana. McDonald didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Le Bleu is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Le Bleu hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
