Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Don Krull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Les Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Don Krull has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Don Krull!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Les Paul!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Krull scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Krull wants to lay and pray for a moment but Paul keeps working.

Krull tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Krull has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Paul is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Krull off and has taken his back!
Krull staying busy and making it hard for Paul to control.
Well, with Paul on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Krull is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Paul looking to break Krull's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Krull remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Paul will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Krull turns into Paul and is now in his guard.
Krull stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Paul swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Krull has gone for a leg lock! Paul slips out almost immediately though and dives into Krull's guard.
Paul stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Krull swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Paul advances to half guard.
Paul looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Krull is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Krull is breathing heavily.
Paul works his way into side control.
An elbow from Paul crashes against the mat.

Paul wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Krull, who protects the arm well.

Paul decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Krull scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Paul gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Paul tries to roll over but Krull keeps him under control.

Paul actively working from the bottom here.

Krull wants to work for an arm triangle but Paul is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Krull is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Paul moves into full guard.

Krull drops back looking for a leg! Paul is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Paul manages to kick Krull off! Krull jumps back into Paul's guard.

Paul looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Krull will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Paul is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Krull wants to control but Paul is keeping busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Krull wants to sweep but Paul has passed to side control!
Krull tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Paul presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Krull has given up his back. Will we see Paul going for some submissions?
Even with his hooks in, Paul manages to miss with strikes from the back.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Paul tries to get the hooks in deep but Krull pushed the leg off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Les Paul dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Krull looks for a takedown but Paul sprawls well.
Krull tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Paul swivels and escapes.
Krull fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Krull. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Paul misses with a takedown attempt

and Krull counters with a nice double leg into side control. Paul won't be happy with that.
You can see the frustration on Paul's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Paul regains half guard.

Krull is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Paul doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Krull.

Krull is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Paul moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Paul looking for a sweep. Not yet Paul, not yet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Paul moves into full mount! Krull won't be happy about that!
Krull is squirming around, avoiding Paul's attempts to control the action.
Paul lands a heavy elbow.
Krull is trying desperately to improve position.

Paul is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Krull has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Krull holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Paul tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Krull is working to get back to half guard.

Paul swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Les Paul!
