PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Carlton Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and New Tall Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Banks comes into the arena with Carlton Dance Medley blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as New Tall Guy enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlton Banks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, New Tall Guy!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Banks clinches up with Guy and pushes him back against the cage.
Banks lands a nice elbow.

It looks like New Tall Guy has been cut.
Banks is pressed up against the cage. Guy has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Banks down to the mat. Banks avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Banks lands with a slapping head kick.
Guy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Banks is fending him off so far but Guy persists. Nope, Banks circles away and we're back to standing.

Banks drives through and clinches with Guy against the cage.
Guy tries to pull guard but Banks forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Carlton Banks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of New Tall Guy.
Banks gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Guy takes an elbow to the temple.

That has opened up New Tall Guy's cut even more.
Guy managing to block the knees to the body from Banks.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Guy has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Banks is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Guy looks winded!
Guy tries to pull guard but Banks won't allow it.
Guy avoiding damage as Banks throws knees to the body.

The cut above New Tall Guy's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Banks comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Banks lands an elbow inside that Guy shrugs off.

New Tall Guy's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Banks creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Guy's defenses.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at New Tall Guy's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Carlton Banks!
During a confident post fight interview, Carlton Banks thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
