The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka slaps away a takedown attempt from Bashor, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

That was a close round but I would say that Jason Bashor will probably get the nod.

Bashor has Boyka pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bashor pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Boyka tumbling to the mat - Bashor dives into Boyka's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
