The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hook misses with a wild combination.
Hook explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Pistone lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hook circles away quickly and effectively.
Hook lands a head kick. Pistone smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Pistone. Hook shrugs it off though.
Pistone throws a low kick but Hook moves out of range easily.
Hook takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Hook attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Pistone tries to land a front kick but Hook steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Hook misses with a body shot
and Pistone counters with an outside leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hook pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've been informed that Pistone has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Pistone blocks a head kick by Hook.
Hook swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pistone lands with a right hand.
Pistone cracks Hook on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Hook falls backwards against the cage. Pistone follows up with more strikes that drop Hook to his knees. Pistone keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Hook! This one is all over!

Joe Pistone decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
