Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Dansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Marquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan Marquez will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marquez shoots in for a takedown but Dansen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Dansen closes the distance and pushes Marquez back into the cage.

Dansen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Marquez sprawls well. Marquez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dansen gets slowly back to his feet.

Dansen wants the takedown. Marquez is fighting it off but Dansen persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Marquez 's guard against the cage.
Marquez wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dansen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Marquez is just riding it out for now. Dansen eventually gives up the hold.

Dansen goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Marquez is on top in guard.

Dansen pushes Marquez off and scrambles back to his feet.

Dansen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dansen showed some decent athleticism there.
