Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Bashor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rener Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jesse Bashor has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jesse Bashor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rener Gracie!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bashor works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.


It looks like Rener Gracie has been cut.

Gracie felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Gracie moves into full guard.
Bashor postures up.
Bashor wants to stand but Gracie has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bashor not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Bashor changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gracie looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Gracie has an active guard here but Bashor has managed to pass into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bashor connects with a nice short shot to Gracie's temple.
Gracie is staying active underneath Bashor, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bashor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bashor manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bashor is looking to pass into half guard but Gracie pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Gracie is in guard.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bashor swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bashor has his foot on Gracie's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gracie works his way back into a safe position though.
