Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Patton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Solovyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Patton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Marilyn Manson - Born Villain . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patton ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Solovyev paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Solovyev, right into the meat.
Patton connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

and Solovyev counters with a crisp one two that drops Patton! Solovyev thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Patton to his feet! Patton is in big trouble!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Patton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Solovyev flashes Patton a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Patton's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Patton crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Solovyev punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
