Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Turd Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nick Alvarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Turd Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez thows a body shot but no joy.
A combination from Alvarez does no damage.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Alvarez as he avoids it easily.
Alvarez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anderson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Anderson dives in for a single leg takedown but Alvarez sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Alvarez lands a right hand that snaps the head of Anderson backwards.

Anderson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Alvarez holds on and takes a little breather.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nick Alvarez.
I think Alvarez has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
